I'm Garrett Salpeter, founder and CEO of NeuFit®. My journey has always been about finding innovative ways to help people recover from injury and optimize performance by tapping into the immense potential of the nervous system. Over the years, I've developed the NeuFit Method, combining direct current stimulation with movement to achieve faster recovery and heightened athletic performance. I've had the privilege of helping athletes, patients with neurological conditions, and many others achieve remarkable results through the NeuFit Method.
Recently, I've been fortunate to rank on the leaderboard for the Rejuvenation Olympics, a competition focused on biological longevity. While it's thrilling to be recognized, my true motivation is maintaining energy and vitality now to experience as much of life as possible—not simply extending my lifespan for more time later. I see Longevity as a wonderful side effect of living with the energy to pursue everything I love doing today.
What is Your Motivation?
My biggest motivation for focusing on longevity is simple: I want sustained energy now. I believe that feeling vibrant and energetic allows me to live fully today—whether it’s engaging in my work, spending time with family, or enjoying physical activities like mountain biking and golf. To me, longevity isn't just about adding years to my life but enhancing the quality of those years in the present. The fact that it correlates with greater longevity is just a happy byproduct.
What Insights Have You Gotten from Biological Age Testing?
Through various biological age tests, I’ve learned that optimizing key variables like blood sugar and inflammation has a profound impact on overall well-being. I’ve also seen that mastering the basics – like exercise, nutrition, and sleep – go a long way..
What is Your Longevity Routine?
Daily Meals: My meals are built around high protein intake, which supports muscle recovery and overall physical resilience and keeps my blood sugar more stable. However, I’ve also learned to embrace carbs rather than fear them, increasing them through vegetables and fruit on days when I’m more active and scaling back a bit on days when I’m less active.
Supplements: I have a detailed supplement regimen to support cellular health, energy, and longevity:
- Upon Waking: NMN, TMG, Probiotic
- With Morning Meal: Multivitamin, Energy Blueprint “Longenesis” Blend, including Glycine, Glucosamine sulfate, Quercetin, Fisetin, Pterostilbene, Zeaxanthin, and more designed to optimize cellular health, plus additional B-vitamins (Allithiamine, Benfotiamine) and Magnesium, Creatine.
- Mid-Day: Energy Blueprint’s “Energenesis” Mitochondrial Supplement, with multiple plant polyphenols, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, PQQ, CoQ10, Green tea extract, and more.
- Evening: Energy Blueprint’s “Sleep” supplement, and some additional Magnesium.
Workout Routine: I incorporate the Neubie device into most of my workouts, allowing me to optimize strength training while minimizing injury risk and simultaneously address mobility, coordination, and muscular development. I focus on strength training 2-3 times per week and a sprint session weekly. Beyond that, I enjoy outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking, and golf, which also contribute to my overall physical and mental well-being. I also make an effort to be generally active, taking walks, taking stairs instead of the elevator, etc.
Stress Relief & Mindfulness Practices: I regularly use the Neubie Master Reset protocol to downregulate my nervous system, reducing stress and enhancing recovery. I also practice meditation, enjoy reading, and spend time outside in nature as much as possible.
Sleep Routine: I prioritize consistent bedtimes as much as possible and make an effort to wind down by stopping intense intellectual work and reducing or eliminating screens and blue light 30-60 minutes before sleep.
Recovery Strategies: In addition to the stress relief techniques mentioned above, I use red light therapy in the mornings to support my circadian rhythm.
